She is graduated from the Chemical Engineering Department of METU in 1975 and completed her M.S. in the same department in 1978. She got her Ph. D. degree from the Chemical Engineering Department of Faculty of Science of Ankara University in 1984. She started to work as a teaching assistant in the Chemical Engineering Department of ADMMA at 1977. Later,she worked as a research assistant in the Chemical Engineering Department of Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Gazi University. She became Asistant Proffessor in 1985, Associate Proffessor in 1992, Proffessor in 2000 at the same department. She was chairperson of Chemical Engineering Department of Gazi University between 2004 and 2009.
