Dr. Ö. Murat Doğan received Ph.D. Degree from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Gazi University in 1996. The Ph.D. thesis is on Retorting of Beypazarı, Seyitömer and Himmetoğlu Oil Shales. He was assigned as Assistant Professor in 1996,Associated Professor in 2003 and Professor in 2008 at the same department. In 1998, he joined to the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, The University of British Columbia, Canada , as a visiting scholar. He has worked with Prof. Dr. John R. Grace on some research projects (1998-1999). His research interests are concerned with energy, fluidized beds, heat and mass transfer, gasification, air pollution, plastic wastes and hydrogen storage.
